Mana cover-127

The latest edition of Mana Magazine hits the shelves today with a Rangatahi-themed edition and one very insightful article on the historical roots of our housing problems, displaced urban Māori and how history continues to repeat itself.  Also included is my latest column looking at economic development, and my attention this month turns to Ngāi Tūhoe and their efforts to assert their Mana Motuhake.

You can check out the latest edition here.

  1. The article about Maori homelessness in New Zealand is a reminder that homelessness is all to real for our people.

To tackle the challenge of homelessness has to take many approaches including spiritual, mental and physical innovation and the support of religious, community and government agencies.

My husband and I are watching the adamant opposition to TPP which will also have detrimental affects on the vulnerable and lower economic people in society, including some of our Maori people. Bob my husband is running as a Democrat for US Senate and has bought out a short video against the TPP on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jba_A7zSrzE
